50 Cent Launches Comedy Site

Hip-hop mogul 50 Cent will continue to expand his empire with a foray into the world of comedy.
Having already established himself as a force within the film and entertainment communities, with
diverse and wide-ranging interests that include technology companies, G-Unit clothing line and website, ThisIs50.com, the Queens MC is now attempting to launch a new comedy site.

Though content is scant from ThisIs50, the garish and unwieldy site is halfway live at ThisIs50Comedy.com.
The site's proper launch will take place on Thursday (April 28), and will feature the debut of 50's comedy show -- dubbed 'This Is 50 Comedy Show.' The show will be taped in front of a live audience in the Times Square Arts Center in New York City, and will be streamed live online.

The show will be hosted by ThisIs50 standout Young Jack Thriller, star of ThisIs50's popular 'So Disrespectful' series, and will return on the last Thursday of each month, bringing the site's subscribers "the cutting-edge humor of the nations [sic] funniest comedians."

Access to the show will cost $2.99, the proceeds of which will go towards Japan's relief fund.

50 Cent Falls Victim to Credit Card Fraud

50 Cent may seem untouchable in the eyes of his fans but a thief has managed to get close enough to the Queens rapper, resulting in him being a victim of credit card fraud.

According to the New York Daily News, 50's American Express number was lifted and used to make a series of unauthorized purchases in several cities close to his Farmington, Conn. home, dating back to 2007.

Suspicions were first raised last year, when an unidentified man called an electronics boutique in West Hartford, attempting to order two Sony flat-screen televisions using the 'Before I Self Destruct' creator's credit card number. Sensing that something was afoot, the store refused to deliver the TV's, but instead told the man that he could pick them up in person.

Though American Express did not report the card stolen, they reported that the order was not made by 50, and when two young men arrived in a rental car to pick up the flat-screens, the store called police, who arrested them on sight. A defense attorney for one of the arrested men said that he can't directly comment on the case, as it is still pending, but that he's been "in court at least three times" when 50's name "has popped up as a victim of credit card crime."

The G-Unit head honcho has yet to make a comment regarding the fraud, which the Daily News claims was likely committed by someone within access to his personal information.

50 Cent's 52-room Connecticut mansion was previously broken into back in December, when two men were caught drinking wine in his closet and roaming around his house

50 Cent Defends DJ Mister Cee After Controversial Arrest

The hip-hop gossip mill went into overtime this past weekend when Mister Cee, a veteran hip-hop producer (Notorious B.I.G.'s "Ready To Die") and DJ at New York's Hot 97, was arrested for
misdemeanor public lewdness and indecent exposure. According to a police report published by the Smoking Gun, Mister Cee (real name: Calvin Lebrun) was caught performing a sex act with a 20-year-old male in a car in Manhattan.

Although the news has surprised many -- and even resulted in some throwing homophobic slurs his way -- one of New York's biggest rappers, 50 Cent, is defending Mister Cee and saying that he would "make him my DJ any day."

"It's only entertaining because he means that much to hip-hop culture," 50 Cent tells Hot 97 personality Miss Info in an audio clip posted on her blog. "I recognize Mister Cee as the guy who offered us Biggie, so he means that much to the culture. And a lot of the kids that hear the radio don't see him the same way."

50 Cent says that he respects Mister Cee so much that he has played each of his full-length albums for the DJ before they were released. He also believes that the arrest shouldn't slow down Cee from doing what he does best.

"Who is to judge you when there's an audience -- that is probably one of the strongest audiences, if you look at Lady Gaga's career -- that says that that's fine?" says 50, speaking about the gay community. "If you say it's not fine, you're gonna get attacked. You're gonna write apology notes."

In her blog post, Miss Info writes that video of the 50 Cent interview is coming soon.
