Lady Gaga revealed that one of the tracks on her new 'Born This Way' album is about the late, legendary fashion designer Alexander McQueen.
Gaga was deeply affected by McQueen's tragic death and her song 'Fashion of His Love' her personal tribute to the couturier.
Gaga posted a note on her Twitter page saying, "Fashion Of His Love is about Alexander McQueen." McQueen committed suicide by hanging on February 11, 2010 -- news that shook the fashion and entertainment industry to its core.
That same month, Gaga performed at the 2010 Brit Awards wearing one of McQueen's couture creations (pictured here) and honored her friend saying, "This is for Alexander McQueen." She also commemorated McQueen after accepting her awards that night.
From the red carpet to her music videos and live performances, Gaga has made McQueen's creations a staple in her high fashion wardrobe. In addition to dedicating 'Fashion of His Love' to McQueen, Gaga released her new lead single 'Born This Way' on February 11 2011, exactly one year after the designer's death.

Lady Gaga said today on 'The View' that she was bullied at school as a kid, even though she had a "nice group of friends." It was an experience that has stuck with her as an adult, influenced her
decisions and her self-esteem, and even had an effect on how she communicated with her fans.
"I don't think I realized how deeply it affected me until I started to become more successful," said Gaga. "And suddenly there's lots of pressure and I had to be a role model and look inside myself and say, well, what do I have to offer?"
Gaga said she felt like she didn't have much to offer for a long time, and she recognizes that some of her fans are having similar struggles. In the music, she said, both Gaga and her fans "find liberation from our challenges and our identity struggles." In her previous identity, Gaga would not have been able to wear 10-inch platform shoes. Now the only problem is not falling.

Lady Gaga has split from her 30-year-old heavy-metal drummer boyfriend Luc Carl. According to the Toronto Sun, in an interview that airs today (May 13), Gaga told Britain's the 'Graham Norton
Show,' "No, I don't have a boyfriend and haven't been on any dates recently."
The couple had been dating since 2005 and subsequently split once Gaga, 25, had reached the pinnacle of fame. By 2010 the pair had renewed their love for each other, with Gaga telling Grazia magazine they were in a "proper monogamous relationship." The 'Born This Way' singer also added that she "never actually enjoyed sex" until her love with Carl.
It may come as a surprise that Lady Gaga had been dating anyone lately given her busy schedule and constant promotion for her upcoming album, but yesterday her bar-tending, club-promoter ex seemed to confirm the relationship, and that things have gone awry, tweeting the Bob Seger song 'Still the Same' along with the words "I miss you."
"You always said / The cards would never do you wrong / The trick you said / Was never play the game too long," sings Seger about a spurned lover who knows the true person behind his ex's veil of fame. On May 9, Gaga tweeted "I need a man who thinks it right when it's so wrong, right on the limits where we know we both belong."

Sir Elton John sat down with fashion fanatic pal and V magazine columnist Lady Gaga to interview her about her fashion inspirations for a new V magazine article.
John, who recently named Mother Monster the godmother of his baby son Zachary, quizzed the shape-shifting, style-savvy singer about her favorite wardrobe items as she put posed for an avant garde photo shoot to accompany the editorial piece.
Gaga tells John, "I'm mostly inspired by shapes, and using the body to create iconography. Leather culture and high-street punk fashion. I would say perfecto jackets occupy most of my fashion thoughts."
Not surprisingly, the superstar claims that "there are no rules" when it comes to picking out her outrageous outfits and freaky fashions. The girl knows and loves the major designers, but also likes vintage and lesser known labels.
She explains her wardrobe selection for her runway show of a music video for 'Judas' saying, "We were laughing on the set of the 'Judas' video. We had 50 racks of couture and I wore leather, Motorhead panties made of a vintage T-shirt, custom from young designers who are my friends, my own creations, and archive Christian Lacroix from a museum."

Jimmy Iovine summed it up best on 'American Idol' when he said, "Scotty McCreery. Lady Gaga. I couldn't think of a better fit."
The two are coming from such opposite ends of the spectrum, it was bound to be uncomfortable when they collided during Gaga's mentor stint this week. McCreery did a lot of awkward laughing, smiling and doing the best he could to look anywhere but directly at Gaga. Apparently, that's just too much for him to handle.
She lost him with her advice as well, telling him to think of the microphone as his girlfriend. "Keep your mouth on that microphone like your life depends on it or that b***h gonna leave you."
Later Gaga said, "Apparently, he's a bit more conservative than I had imagined." She hoped she hadn't offended him, but McCreery did say he felt like kissing his cross necklace and saying, "Lord, this is not my doing."
Still, sometimes greatness comes from odd couplings, and she did get him even more loosened up and a little bit crazy for his performance of 'Young Blood.' Maybe a little too crazy, based on some of the loopy looks he was giving the camera with his eyes bugged out.

From her videos and concerts to just walking though an airport in 12-inch heel-less boots, everything with Lady Gaga is a performance. So it's really no surprise that 'Inglourious Basterds'
director Quentin Tarantino has so much faith in the 'Born This Way' singer's acting abilities that he wants her for a part in an upcoming film.
Tarantino and Gaga are both in Cannes, France, for its famed film festival, where Lady G performed last night for a star-heavy crowd that included Tarantino, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp, Uma Thurman and Kanye West.
"It's no secret Quentin's been eyeing up Gaga for a role in one of his up-and-coming films," a source close to Tarantino tells the Daily Mail. "And now they're both in Cannes, he's keen to show off his movie star credentials."
Whether he's eyeing Gaga for a part in his next feature, the recently announced 'Django Unchained,' starring Will Smith, or another of the many projects he has in the works is unknown.
Gaga and Tarantino are said to be old friends. The director got to know the pop star when he lent her the "P***y Wagon" truck used in his 'Kill Bill' films for her 'Telephone' video last year.

Both Lady Gaga and Oprah Winfrey are counting down the days. Gaga has a new album, 'Born This Way,' coming out May 23. A couple of days later, on May 25, the last 'Oprah Winfrey Show'
(weekdays, syndicated) will air. So it was a nice bit of cross-promotion for Lady Gaga to come on the show and sing Winfrey a farewell song.
Dressed like a Klingon widow and sitting at a keyboard horned into a giant golden shoe, Gaga regaled the audience with a refrain about Winfrey's 25 years, set over cheesy power chord rock, repeating the phrase "you and I" a lot for some unclear reason. Did we mention the church windows? Yes, there were church windows.
Gaga and Oprah (an introduction Letterman would loved to have made) then embraced. In a nifty little plug for the album, Winfrey said, "You've encouraged people to be comfortable being born the way they are." If this is true, Gaga owes mom a big Mother's Day present for being born in a plastic-looking blazer with big pointy shoulders.

Even Lady Gaga struggles with insecurities. In a new teaser video for the documentary-style special, Lady Gaga Presents The Monster Ball Tour: At Madison Square Garden, Lady Gaga
cries backstage and prays for strength.

The 25-year-old singer is backstage wiping off makeup in the black-and-white clip.

Although 'Born This Way' put Lady Gaga in an out of this world realm, the mother of monsters seems to be battling a very earthly demon, as of late -- gravity.
After falling off of a piano while performing 'Born This Way' in Houston earlier this month, Gaga once again took a spill on stage in Atlanta while belting out 'Poker Face' (via BuzzFeed).
So what has Lady Gaga taking these terrible tumbles? We know she's a fan of sky high heels, and mixed with her heavy dance numbers, she's sure to take a tumble every so often.
But just to prove that she is, in fact, human (or a close relative of the homo sapien), we've compiled all of Gaga's on-stage spills for your viewing pleasure. Feast your eyes little monsters
