Ottoman dress

I was sent this gorgeous ASOS dress a couple of weeks ago but waited for the perfect occasion to wear it. This weekend one of our best friends is getting married and with the bachelorette party and other festivities we had many occasions to dress up.

Asymmetric one shoulder dresses are one of my favorite shapes one me and combined with the drapiness of the fabric and its name, I needed to have it in my closet.

I wish I knew

The bat shirt and the necklace are my very first pieces from ASOS and I'm entirely happy with them. There's nothing better than a basic top that is box shaped and in a beautiful color. You might already know that I crave for all bat lookalike tops..

That thing with feathers

I’ve been wearing this bangle by Tom Shot (first photo) almost every day since I got it. It seems to go with everything and doesn’t bother me at all unlike some other arm jewelry I always need to take off when typing for instance. That it underlines the meaning of my tattoo is of course another lovely aspect!

Kolibri Shop was kind enough to send me this bangle to try out their service. A big advantage, especially for Swiss customers, is the fact that the custom charges don’t need to be paid by the customer. I think this makes it a lot easier to order something from their shop, which has many brands and products for men and women alike that are otherwise hard to find in Switzerland. Other than this feather bangle I loved this croc-effect leather bag by Nixon (great to carry around my netbook and files to Uni), and the seafoam watch collection (such a lovely color for spring/summer).

Kolibri Shop currently delivers to Germany, Austria and Switzerland and there are no mailing expenses for a minimum order of 34 CHF for Swiss customers.

In a rut

I’m aware that this look quite resembles MiJi’s last outfit but I have to admit that I can’t put much thought into what I’m wearing these days, so apologies in advance. I wore this to the university then changed into heels in the evening to attend a pre-shopping event of the re-vamped Schild store in Zurich. It was a well organized event with yummy food, drinks and music. Hop over to Stilblog, which is written by lovely fellow blogger Larissa, to see more impressions of the evening.

Some updates

Me with bang hair. I'm really satisfied with the new look although it's a little change. Sorry for the blurry photo quality..

I'm back from Seoul and I brought some new stuff: bag, cardigan, muffler, jewelry, lipsticks

I slept 12 hours straight last night, since I'm pretty jet-lagged ^^
Wish you all a lovely weekend!

Last day

Despite the cold windy weather cycling in Amsterdam was such a pleasure! Great way to spend the last few hours there. The experience was complete with meeting a local artist at a little café we stopped by to warm up. We were very lucky as it only started to rain just as we were about to board the plane... Perfect timing to head home!

Before sunset

After having so much fun it’s not so easy to get back to work, so I wanted to share some pictures with you, mainly of what I wore in Amsterdam. Thanks for your suggestions, I managed to go and see some of the places you mentioned and really loved the city!

Our hotel was located in the red light district which we found perfect since most of the places we went were in walking distance. But of course we also rented a bike to get a more authentic feeling of being in Amsterdam but more on that adventure in the next post…

The one at the airport

I always find it weird that people seem to be interested in what “celebrities” wear when travelling or how they look like when they arrive at airports. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t kid myself thinking into I might be one of those “interesting” people but after seeing a girl behind me at the baggage drop wearing 12cm peeptoes that would make Victoria Beckham very proud I thought about my own plain outfit and why I was wearing it.

Even though I’m all for comfort when flying, sweatpants and All Stars don’t cut it for me. Basically I put on something I plan on wearing at the destination I’m heading to anyways (flat boots, parka…) and a body-cross bag because I prefer to keep my hands free. But enough of the babbling about this lame outfit, now I’m off to discover Amsterdam! Leave me your tips in the comments in case you have any!

When there's snow on the ground, I like to pretend I'm walking on clouds

earstuds - idae (seoul, south korea), necklace - vintage, scarf - no name

shirt - dongdaemun (seoul), blazer - gift, jeans - tally weijl

A cup of coffee when it's minus 10 degrees outside = ♥

boots - express bus terminal, subway shopping (seoul)
My favorite shoes at the moment.

This nude blazer was a xmas gift. I love it!

So these are my latest purchases. I still couldn't lay eyes on the perfect winter coat though, but I'm pretty sure that I will find one at the Dongdaemun Night Market. Thanks to a friend I got to know the night market, which is well-stocked with shopping malls and keenly shoppers rummaging for the ideal piece. And the best thing about this market: the malls and shops are open till six in the morning! If you want to see stylish retailers and crazy shoppers DDM Night Market is the place to be!
