Singer Britney Spears latest and hot photo gallery.....

Born on 2nd December 1981, Kentwood, Louisiana, USA. One of the last teenage superstars of the millennium, Spears enjoyed her breakthrough success at the end of 1998. She appeared in local dance revues and church choirs as a young girl, and at the age of eight auditioned for The Mickey Mouse Club.

Although she was too young to join the series, a producer on the show gave her an introduction to a New York agent. She subsequently spent three summers at the Professional Performing Arts School Center. She appeared in a number of off-Broadway productions as a child actor, including Ruthless (1991). She returned to the [ Walt ] Disney Channel for a spot on The Mickey Mouse Club, where she was featured for two years between the ages of 11 and 13.

She began to audition for pop bands in the New York area, her demo tapes eventually landing on the desk of Jive Records' Jeff Fenster. The ballad ''Sometimes'' and the funky ''(You Drive Me) Crazy'' were also substantial transatlantic hits. ''Born To Make You Happy'' topped the UK charts in January 2000.

The demand for new Spears material was satisfied when her sophomore set, Oops! ... I Did It Again, was released in May. The album contained the expected quota of well-produced, expertly crafted pop songs alongside a risible cover version of (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction.

VIDEO : Britney Spears and Kim Kardashian Wear the Same Look

They were on opposite sides of the country but both Kim Kardashian and Britney Spears rocked the same ensemble over the weekend.

Although these two are polar opposite in looks, they seem to have the same taste in clothes. They each managed to take the look in a different direction, adding their own flare to the geometric mini.

"We're style twins," Kardashian tweeted about her fashion friend, Spears.

Kardashian paired the dress with some pumps for her night out on the town in Miami, with boyfriend, Kris Humphries while Spears added a little edge with her mid-calf black boots in Los Angeles at KIIS FM's 2011 Wango Tango Concert.

Britney Spears Headlines Star-Studded Concert as Host, Not Singer

Britney Spears, who was characterized as mentally unsound by her mom's legal team recently, was tapped by Los Angeles' KIIS FM to guest-host with Ryan Seacrest at this weekend's annual
Wango Tango concert at the Staples Center.

Fans enjoyed a diverse roster, according to MTV News, including performances from Jennifer Lopez, Ke$ha, Selena Gomez, Cobra Starship, T-Pain, Lupe Fiasco, Cody Simpson, Far East Movement and 'Glee' star Matthew Morrison.

Ke$ha brandished her famous glitter gun for her second year appearing at Wango Tango. And J.Lo rocked her spangled catsuit, but was hampered by a sudden, serious audio glitch (video after the jump). For a long stretch of her single 'On the Floor,' the 'American Idol' star had to improvise booty bumps after her mic went out.

Fan video on YouTube shows a smiling Lopez in her best show-must-go-on mode when she realizes the sound system has failed mid-performance:

Britney Spears' Parents: Our Daughter Is Mentally Unsound

Although Britney Spears seems to have bounced back from her mentally questionable days, when it comes to her mother's legal battles, the pop star's parents don't think their daughter's noggin is up to snuff to testify, according to Billboard.

Spears' ex-manager, Sam Lutfi, is suing Lynne Spears for defamation -- she wrote in her memoir, 'Through the Storm,' that he was responsible for cutting off her family's communication with their daughter and over-influencing the already vulnerable and deteriorating star in a negative way.

Lutfi and his legal team have asked Spears to testify to the fact that he was not the manipulating force behind the pop queen's breakdown. But Spears' parents believe their daughter is not mentally capable of giving a deposition. But not taking no for an answer, Lutfi has demanded that a judge order Spears to undergo a psychiatric exam to prove her lucidity.

Although her troubled days seem to be behind her, Spears' father, James Parnell Spears, remains in control of her conservatorship. The crooner's protective papa doesn't want his daughter anywhere near Lutfi. But with evidence in the form of Spears' recent interviews, Lutfi believes that she is more than capable of speaking her mind.

Still Spears' family may be putting their foot down when it comes to their daughter's potential mental wellness exam for a different reason -- if she does prove capable of testifying, her conservatorship may also be lifted.

Brian Friedman Brings Britney Spears Back to Her Dancing Roots

He turned Britney Spears into a performing icon with unforgettable dance moves in music videos like “I’m A Slave 4 U,” “Overprotected” and “Toxic.” So when Britney was hoping to re-connect
with the “old Britney” in her first two music videos for her new Femme Fatale album, it was choreographer Brian Friedman she called up to choreograph “Hold It Against Me” and “Till The World Ends.”

“I got the phone call saying, ‘Britney really wants to get back together with you, are you available?’ ” says Brian, who started working with Britney the day after Christmas to prepare for the videos. “Everyone is definitely in a different place now. We’re grown. When Britney and I worked together before, she was 19, I was in my early 20s. I’m 30 now and she’s a mother with two. We have different goals and energies and priorities. It’s great to see her grown up and she’s got her babies, who mean everything to her. A lot has changed.”

Brian met Britney back when they were first starting out their careers – she had just released her first single and he soon became her back-up dancer, and then choreographer.

“Brian’s the one that’s really behind the genius thing going on!” Britney has said.

After taking a five-year break while Brian pursued other projects, including work on So You Think You Can Dance, judging on X Factor and  producing America’s Got Talent, Britney worked with other choreographers.

So how have things changed now that Britney’s grown up?

“She knows what she wants and there’s often a lot of times where she’s like, ‘Uh uh. I’m not doing that,’” Brian says. “It’s not that she doesn’t like [the dance move]. She just says, ‘It doesn’t look good on my body. This would feel better.’ You’ll give another option and then she’ll say, ‘That’s what I like, this is good.’ And being that she’s a dancer, we vibe off of each other on a lot of steps.”

Brian also has learned over the years that the best way to teach Britney, is through humor.

“I feel like a comedian all day when we’re working together,” he tells OK!. “If you do a little squat down to the floor, I always scream, ‘take a poop!’ … I always use analogies with steps because if you remember, ‘take a poop, wipe it off’ then you remember doing a squat and then coming up and doing a hip roll with your hands on your hips.”

After mastering how to get through to pop stars with his unconventional techniques, now Brian is looking to create six icons of his own – the next Britney Spears and Justin Bieber — for a docu-reality-series project called “Discovered.” The audition process begins in L.A. on April 26 (click HERE to find out how to audition!).

“I want to find the people that don’t have their deal done and I want to create them from the ground-floor up, which is why I’m not able to do Britney’s tour,” says Brian, who was a potential candidate for her tour. “It was great to be back with her and I’m definitely there for videos, because videos aren’t as long of a time commitment.”

Brian’s decision to work with young talent over established artists on his show isn’t the first time he’s enjoyed helping future stars. He’s been a longtime choreographer with The Pulse on Tour, a dance workshop that travels the US teaching students the dance moves that he and other respected choreographers (including Lady Gaga’s LaurieAnn Gibson, Janet Jackson’s Tyce Diorio and NSYNC’s Wade Robson) have made famous.

“They called me basically because of my work with Britney Spears, and they said, ‘We would love to have you teach in our one day workshop.’ And I said, ‘Definitely.’ ”

Through the Pulse and his upcoming series, Brian’s hoping to produce the next new crop of talent and teach the choreographers who will work with them. The most common question he gets from the young artists is always the same: “What is it like to work with Britney Spears?” But the answer never changes.

“For me, it’s Britney Spears and it’s just like working with anybody else,” Brian says. “I think it’s important for people to know that you just can’t place them on a pedestal because the second you do, rehearsals will be weird.”

And at the end of the day, Britney Spears may be a pop icon, but in some ways she’s like any other girl.

“Britney’s pretty simple with her requests,” Brain says. “She likes her vanilla candles in her room. And before we would go into any of the work that we would do, her only request was a ham and cheese croissant.”

'The Fighter' Director David O. Russell Wants to Work With Britney Spears

She's the resident queen of pop but when it comes to her career in film, she seems to be more of a one hit wonder. Britney Spears made her film debut in 2002's 'Crossroads' to a less than lukewarm
reception but there's one director who thinks Spears has what it takes to take another crack at the silver screen.

According to Vulture, David O. Russell, director of the Oscar nominated 'The Fighter,' has high hopes for Spears and thinks that her "great entertainer" status on stage could translate to film.

"I think Britney could be great in a lot of different things, and I'm a huge fan of hers," Russell said.

Russell has even auditioned Spears for film roles in the past. And although she wasn't among those vying for a spot in 'The Fighter,' "she could have played one of the sisters when she was in her rough period, but not now."

But the 'Till The World Ends' singer isn't the only one who has Russell singing their praises -- the director would also like to work with Johnny Depp, Cher, Jack White and Rihanna.

According to Russell, with the above talent it would be hard to make a bad flick: "Sounds like you can't go wrong with those people right there. Just add camera and stir."

But Russell isn't only a fan of the femme fatale's on-screen potential. He's also a fan of her music.

"I went to the Circus concert," he said. "I think she's a great entertainer."

Nicki Minaj Officially Joins Britney Spears' Tour

It's official! Nicki Minaj will join Britney Spears on her North American tour this summer, according to TMZ.

Sources close to the tour say negotiations ended days ago and the deal has been signed. Spears' tour kicks off June 17 in Sacramento, California.

There's already been a fair share of drama surrounding who would join the singer on the road this summer.

Spears made an announcement on 'Good Morning America' that Enrique Iglesias would headline the tour with her. However, Iglesias dropped out of the deal just hours after the announcement.

When rumors began that Minaj would hit the road with Spears on tour, the fan reaction was overwhelmingly supportive. Minaj is currently on tour with Lil Wayne until the end of April.

Britney Spears accused of using man as body double in new video(Till The World Ends)

BRITNEY SPEARS was last night accused of being played by a MAN in her new pop video.
The 29-year-old singer's new promo for single Till The World Ends has become the talk of the web
over suspect scenes that some eagle-eyed fans believe show a male dance double performing as her.

And one Britney fan fumed: "It's definitely not her, it's obviously a bloke.

"I can only think that she's done it because she can't dance the way that she used to. I don't think that she should use a body double like that.

"I just happened to pause the video and I saw it. I was actually quite stunned - it doesn't look much like her."

Fan forums have been swamped with theories over whether the Baby One More Time star had used dance doubles to perform some moves.

Fans reckon one clip where she throws back her hair is in fact a man in a blonde wig. Seconds later there is another sequence when she twirls round on her feet that some say looks like a different woman dressed up as the icon.

Is that you Britney? ... still from Britney Spears' new video

Britney has already faced claims she used female choreographer TIANA BROWN as a dance double for the Till The World Ends promo - directed by RAY KAY.

Theories on the internet include a suggestion Britney may have sat out some routines because of a knee injury or that she was allowed rest for the shooting of some of the scenes.

Britneyslegacy said: "It's a FACT that that isn't Britney, I noticed straight away.

"Some fans on here like to deny everything. I don't see why a body double needed to be used because she's in like one shot, and it does Britney no favours."

Accusation ... Britney Spears in video for Till The World Ends

And TheOriginalDollz added: "I usually support and back Britney up for everything but this kinda bugs me... why for two or three seconds?

"Was that part maybe a huge dance thing hard on the knee? I know Brit has knee issues maybe that is why."

Fansite Breathheavy had hundreds of posts on the subject and said followers seemed disappointed by the decision.

The site's founder wrote: "Fans seem very upset a body double was used in several dancing scenes in Brit's new music video for Till The World Ends."

Director Ray Kay has tweeted to say there's two versions of the video. As well as the main one that debuted this week there is also another version that features more dancing.

Fans will examine whether that video uses dance doubles standing in for the star.

Denial … Britney Spears has rejected previous claims that she used dance doubles

This is not the first time Britney has been dogged by rumours about using a dance double in her promos.

In February this year the singer’s representatives issued a statement denying claims another dancer had been used in the Hold It Against Me video, the first single of new album Femme Fatale.

Her spokesman said: “These accusations could not be further from the truth.

“Britney worked extremely hard on this video and rehearsed for six weeks prior to shoot.”

And the troubled star was criticised for her comeback television appearance last week where she didn’t sing live or dance rigorously in a short breakfast TV concert.

Sure, Britney didn't write any of her songs on Femme Fatale, but let's not forget, she's written some of her biggest hits, including Everytime (flawless) and her hit Me Against the Music, featuring Madonna.

We're so excited about this collab! Maybe Brit can even do some vocals on the track too??

Nicki Minaj on Britney Spears: (I Love Her. She is a Sexy Girl)

At last night’s Casio’s TRYX OUT: NYC 2011 at the Best Buy Theater, Nicki Minaj commented on the question on everyone’s mind: Will she tour with Britney Spears?

Nicki Said “I don’t know yet. Britney is a beautiful girl, I love her. She’s a sexy girl. I’ll have to recruit her for my Barbie army.”

She also told reporters that the two of them are in talks and that she would love to do it.

Another person that Nicki wouldn’t mind collaborating with would be Justin Bieber!

She said  “Of course I would collaborate with Justin. He’s a cutie pie.”

Nicki is still on tour through April with Lil Wayne. When asked about the tour, Nicki commented that it’s quite an experience so far.

“Amazing! Amazing every night, every city we’ve been to, they’ve all unbelievable. Screaming at the top of their lungs, just giving us so much love and we’re really appreciating everyone for supporting the tour. ”

Nicki Minaj in Talks to Join Britney Spears on Tour

Enrique Iglesias pulled out of Britney Spears' forthcoming tour, and now rumor has it that Nicki Minaj may step in to fill the Latin singer's spot.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, although Minaj is not confirmed for the tour, she is being courted by tour execs. But Spears' gig would mean back to back tours for the 'Pink Friday' rapper. While Spears' tour doesn't kick off until June 17 in Sacremento, Calif., Minaj is currently on tour with Lil Wayne for his 'I Am Still Music' trek.

We're just hoping that Minaj's deal goes through and that negotiations don't go awry, a la Iglesias, who, according to THR, pulled out of the tour because he felt like he was opening for Spears rather than sharing the headlining title.

Regardless of who Spears brings along on tour, she's set to be the hottest ticket in town. Her latest album, 'Femme Fatale,' debuted at No. 1 on the charts, selling more than 276,000 copies in its first week alone.

Previous to Minaj's possible involvement, Spears was campaigning to share the stage with Usher -- but their competing tour producers made it difficult for the pair to make their possible collaboration a reality.

Britney Spears Talks Possible Wedding Plans

Britney Spears has a lot to celebrate these days, including two top singles from her latest hit album, 'Femme Fatale.' But could the pop singer be celebrating an upcoming wedding in the near future? Maybe.

Spears dished about her relationship with boyfriend Jason Trawick to UsMagazine.com.

"We have such a great time together!" Spears said. "He makes me laugh, and we are so comfortable being ourselves."

The pair have been dating for over two years and have been seen out together with Spears' family, including her two young sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

But does all of the family bonding mean wedding bells are in their future?

"Maybe," she teased to Us. "Never say never!"

Spears says she has "never been happier" now that she's with Trawick. A family source reveals that he was a source of light during her darkest days, adding he "was one of the only people who stuck by her through everything." Spears famously went through a public breakdown that resulted in a brief stint in a psychiatric hospital and losing custody of her sons.

"[Jason] was someone she felt she could be her true self with," the source said. "[Marriage] is what they talk about and the direction they're going in."

Christina Aguilera Talks Britney Spears Friendship

Christina Aguilera is busy making the promotional rounds for her new gig on NBC's 'The Voice,' but she took some time to talk about her "old friend" Britney Spears, according to OK! Magazine.

Aguilera tweeted a congratulatory message to Spears last week when her album, 'Femme Fatale,' was released but admits she hasn't spent enough time listening to it to comment on it.

"You know what, I haven't heard the whole thing in its entirety," Aguilera said when asked about 'Femme Fatale.' "I've been really hard at work on this show. I haven't had quite the chance to go through the whole thing."

The singer only had nice things to say about her former pop music "rival," however.

"I am a huge supporter of her in light of the fact that both of our careers started off together and are still going and going strong," Aguilera said about Spears. "I just think at this point in the game it's extremely important to be supportive of fellow artists and especially females who get pitted against each other and torn apart."

Aguilera added, "As an old friend of mine from the 'Mickey Mouse Club,' I think it's important at this stage in the game to show my support."
