Les Amours Imaginaires

A love triangle with all its ups and downs is the core of Xavier Dolan's second Movie Les Amours Imaginaires: Francis and Marie are best friends but they fall in love with the same guy named Nico, who enjoys his life to the full. Francis - played by Xavier Dolan - and Marie start to court Nico, which slowly tears a hole in their friendship.

Les Amours Imaginaires bares the human feeling of love in all its aspects. It shows with ease the dramatic art of love but still remains wistful.

Xavier Dolan plays masterful with slow motion, close up and light settings - all accentuated with matching background music.

H&M Spring 2011 women's collection

The spring women’s collection of H&M has on the one side a re-interpreted 60’s and 70’s vibe with clear cut short pieces in bold colors and on the other side also long and flowy dresses that make the romantic gal’s heart flutter. Contemporary outfits can be created adding on trend garments with innovative shapes and proportions or accessories.

Below are some pictures we took at the showroom earlier this week. We were especially fond of the foggy colored pieces we look forward to adding to our wardrobe come spring!

Annabelle Award 2010

Camie Rebord is the winner of this year's annabelle award, which gives young Swiss fashion designers a singular opportunity to intern with an established fashion house. This year the duo from Kaviar Gauche offers a traineeship in Berlin. Camie Rebord won out over four other finalists: Vanessa Meister Varma, Julia Klein-Klute, Silvano Vitalini and Sonja Brajinovic.

Camie Rebord's trademark: dainty flower motifs on transparent fabric. I think she fits perfectly into the Kaviar Gauche team.


Kaviar Gauche was founded in 2003 by Alexandra Fischer-Roehler and Johanna Kühl. Their Bridal Couture shown yesterday on the runway really impressed me not to mention their ready-to-wear collections. Kaviar Gauche mixes avant-garde elements with feminine lines and they know exactly how to leverage accessories. Have a look at their collections here!



The models went down the runway flawlessly to the music of Rammstein.
Kaviar Gauche embodies this kind of contradiction like the name itself.

Lanvin for H&M

This evening we were invited to preview the latest designer collaboration of H&M with Lanvin. We were both very excited to see the pieces upclose since our expectation was pretty high after the video we had seen earlier.

The open seam detailing, which is apparently very typical for Lanvin as we found out tonight, is not our cup of tea. So as much as we liked some of the dresses, this raw finish just didn’t do it for us.

The collection shows a richness in colors,patterns and materials and definitely stands out but there’s unfortunately nothing that will make us stand in line November 23. What are your opinions? Any must-have items on your wishlist?
